Peterborough Show.

Well in terms of motorhome shows in the UK they do not come much bigger than this one.

We set off after the normal after school rush, and go go go for the 130 miles to Peterborough. The journey was in fact quite good for a Friday night. On arrival we were met by marshals Nigel and Pam and shown where we were to pitch. We got pitched and out came my 10 minute erection. As you can see it's quite large and took a little longer than the ten minutes to get up this time. I think it was because it was the first time I had got it up this year. But without sounding to much like a carry on film, I of course mean our driveaway awning. With it erected and the extra room created for Tara, the new generator came out to keep plugged in and the Honda is truly whispa quiet.

We had a great time at Peterborough looking around new vans, drinking with like minded people. Its sort of like a group of private people whom like being on their own getting together to enjoy the company of others if that makes any sense? I mean you have to be a bit of a loner/freedom type person to have a motorhome, but at the same time we are the most sociable people you will meet.

So having had a good weekend with exceptional weather we muscled in to Graham's BBQ for breakfast, Its that southern charm of mine I tell ya!! well not no more, ive bit the bullet and am buying our very own Cadac BBQ. At the last meet I borrowed Grahams generator and ended up buying my own, this time a cadac!!! i will have to park further away in future!

So after a great friendly weekend we set off to go home, This is when we hit a first time ever problem. For some strange reason the van would not start. turned over fine but would not go, I had athought about it and it seemed electrical. I used the spare keys and bang, away she went first time. I think possibly the key imobiliser had had a problem.

Well next its the half term trip to Somerset for a week, leaving the kids with my mum and dad and having some us time.

Then its the Stratford show before our first ever meet that we will be hosting. A large gathering in Cheshire. Can't wait.
